President John Dramani Mahama has in consultation with the National Chief Imam dissolved the National Hajj Committee.A statement signed by the Spokesperson to the President, John Abdulai Jinapor, said the dissolution of the Committee takes immediate effect.The President has meanwhile appointed Ibrahim Abdul Rauf Tanko, a former Member of Parliament for Yagaba-Kubori in the Northern Region, to manage the activities of the Hajj Committee until a substantive Committee is constituted.
