Black Stars defender Harrison Afful says he is looking forward to his first appearance for the Black Stars in more than two years after taking part in his first training session on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s world cup qualifier against Lesotho in Kumasi.
Harrison Afful has proven to be the best left full back on the continent after twice making CAF’s shortlist of most impressive players in 2010 and 2011.
The 25 year old performances for Esperance in two straight CAF Champions league finals the last two years inspired his return.
“The feeling is great for me and I’m happy to be back”. He told JOY Sports
“I know Ghanaians are expecting a lot from me and I will do my maximum best when selected for the game”.
Harrison Afful faces competition for a place in the team with Samuel Inkoom, Richard Kissi and Daniel Opare all impressing in training in over a week.
