Hoffenheim coach, Pellegrino Matarazzo, says unstable past situations are the reason Ghana defender, Kasim Adams, has not played at all this season.
The 28-year-old Black Stars defender has not made a match-day squad for the Bundesliga club after 13 games into the season.
Last season, the former Young Boys man joined Basel on a season-long loan and featured in 50 games in all competitions and scored three goals. There was an option for the Swiss club to make the move permanent, but they opted out, seeing him return to Hoffenheim this season.
Joy Sports editor, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, who’s in Germany for a five-day Bundesliga working tour, asked Matarazzo why Adams is not involved in any game after Hoffenheim’s 2-1 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach.
“Kasim has his qualities; he can defend hard, he’s good on the ball and composed, even under pressure.
“We have a past that has shown that every once in a while he has situations that are not stable, that lead to maybe goals.
“Kasim is performing in training. It’s just a question of competition.”
“We have a past that shows once in a while he has situations that…lead to many goals.”
