Heaven House Church International has offered its heartfelt condolences to the nation following a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight state officials.
The message, issued by Founder and Head Pastor of Heaven House Church International Rev. Peter Abugum, was addressed to the President, the government, the bereaved families, and all of Ghana.
The helicopter, a Ghana Air Force Harbin Z-9, crashed on a forested mountainside in the Ashanti region on August 6, 2025.
Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, who were on a national assignment related to combating illegal mining, perished in the crash.
The others who died were  Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, NDC Vice Chairman Dr. Samuel Sarpong, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and three Ghana Air Force crew members: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

In the condolence message dated August 14, 2025, the church expressed its deep sorrow for the "unimaginable grief" and prayed for God's peace, comfort, and strength to surround those affected.
The church emphasised that the victims' legacies would live on in the hearts of Ghanaians and that the community stood in solidarity with those mourning the loss.
