A total of 12 babies were born on Christmas Day at the Hohoe Municipal Hospital in the Volta region.
They are made up of nine females and three males, with eleven born through normal delivery and one by Caesarean section.
Ms Millicent Berchie, In-Charge of the Hospital’s Maternity Ward told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that all mothers and children were in good conditions.
Madam Jennifer Adegu, an 18-year-old first-time mother who delivered a baby girl could not hide her joy as she expressed gratitude to God and her family.
She told GNA that her baby’s name was "Yesutor" (Jesus’ own) and would wish to see her baby grow and become a responsible child and an ardent follower of Jesus Christ, adding that Christmas would always be memorable in her lifetime.
Madam Donkor Mavis, also an 18-year-old first-time mother of a baby boy said she was happy to deliver successfully.
She said her child’s name was "Elikplim"(God with us) and expressed gratitude to the nurses for their care and show of professionalism.
The GNA was told that though the emergency ward of the Hospital recorded five emergency cases during Christmas, none was accident-related.
Checks at the CedarVille Hospital, a private hospital in the Municipality revealed that the Hospital recorded no delivery on Christmas Day.
The Hohoe Division of the Ghana Police Service also recorded a case of "causing harm" during Christmas.
