Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe, is not resting on his oars as he gears up to win the Best Rap Performance award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, for the second time.
The rapper won the slot last year over artistes like Sarkodie, Strongman, Amerado, Lyrical Joe, Obibini and Teephlow.
This year, he has been nominated again in the same category with TeePhlow, Strongman, Amerado, Sarkodie and Medikal.
Lyrical Joe who just released his debut album titled ‘Photo Album’ told Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s ‘Showbiz A-Z’ expressed his excitement in earning a nomination in the 2023 edition of the awards.
When asked if he would win again, he responded “oh yes.”
Lyrical Joe has won a lot of spurs both locally and internationally as one of the best rappers in Ghana.
In 2020, he went hard at Cameroonian rapper Jovi and Sierra Leonean Mc Kao Denero. He gained a lot of following and admiration after the beef.
His recent battle with rapper Amerado has also earned him more exposure in the music industry.
For the past six years, he has been releasing a rap song on 5th August which is his birthday.
Lyrical Joe has to his credit, songs like Superman, 'Knack', 'Goodness and Mercy', 'Fear' and 'Betrayal.'
