Media personality Cynthia Tima Yeboah, popularly known as Tima Kumkum, has confirmed that she is separated from her husband, Dominic Duodu, and that their divorce is currently before the court.
Speaking to Nikki Samonas on Joy Prime’s Changes show, Tima Kumkum said the couple have not lived together since 1 April 2025 and that she considers herself ‘partially single’ because she is not yet divorced.
“I said I was not going to talk about it. People have been forcing me to say it. I’m separated. Not yet divorced but will be divorced soon. I didn’t want to talk about it but let’s call a spade a spade; we don’t live together since 1st April, 2025. So, I’m partially single because I’m not fully divorced yet but it’s in court so we don’t really want to talk about it,” she revealed.
The media personality had previously been at the centre of speculation after she was seen without her wedding ring for several months, prompting some social media users to suggest that she had divorced her husband.
Tima later addressed the rumours in a post on her social media platforms, debunking the claims and explaining why she had stopped wearing her wedding ring.
During the interview, the question about the whereabouts of her ‘supposed’ current husband came up after Tima revealed that she had been solely responsible for taking care of her children without support from any man.
She added that people in the area where she lives are aware of the situation, so it is not news to them. However, she is not willing to disclose the reason for the breakup, even after the divorce process is successfully completed in court.
Tima Kumkum said she never thought such an incident would happen again, especially since it was her second marriage. However, the couple lived together for one year and nine months before eventually separating.
She also commended her ex-husband, Dominic Duodu, for being a responsible father and taking care of their child since their separation.
“He’s a very responsible man. I’ll give him his flowers for that. He takes care of his child and pays his school fees. That’s fine and I’m okay with that. So, custody is okay,” Tima further said.
For now, she said she has no plans to marry again, adding that marriage is currently the last thing on her mind.
