Government nominee for the District Chief Executive for Karaga Imoro Yakubu has been overwhelmingly endorsed by assembly members of the District.
Imoro Yakubu polled 45 votes out of 47 representing 97% of the total votes cast by the assembly members.
The confirmation ceremony was supervised by the electoral commission and witnessed by the Member of Parliament for the area, Dandawa Swalihu Alhassan.
In his victory speech the District Chief Executive promised to work hard in ensuring that President Mahama's objective of quality leadership to Ghanaians is achieved within the district.
He called for the cooperation of all the stakeholders of the assembly so as to bring development to all communities within the district .
