Price appreciation in Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) pushed the Index up by 126.55 points to close at 5,572.34 points from 5,545.79 points on Wednesday.
The gain reduces the year-to-date loss to 46.58 per cent.
Traded volumes fell marginally to 52,810 from 57,021 shares.
There were two price changes. GCB went up by GH¢0.03 at GH¢0.74 and ETI gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.15.
Market Capitalisation ended the session up at GH¢15,941.92 million compared to GH¢15,834.82 at the previous close.
