Inesfly Africa Limited announces the appointment of Mr David Afugani as Sales Director effective August 1, 2016.
Mr Afugani will be responsible for translating the company’s business objectives into commercial strategy and lead key innovative projects to dominate the local and regional markets as the business seeks presence in 15 African countries by 2020.
David Afugani joins Inesfly Africa from Labara Ghana where he was Head of Commercial. He has also held senior management roles with Blue-Chip multinationals companies including Kickstart International, Rlg Group, Airtel Ghana, GGBL and BAT Ghana. He is also a senior consultant at Anteagle Concepts specialising in business start-ups management, distribution strategy and turn-around management.
He is credited with spearheading the roll out of Kickstart’s operations in West Africa which is made of up Ghana, Nigeria, Mali and Burkina Faso. He also managed the re-structuring of Rlg Ghana from local business into an international brand with the setting of operations in Nigeria, The Gambia, Kenya, Senegal and Uganda. He also led high profile Rlg team members for meetings with top-level government officials in Osun State, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Angola, Zambia and Mali.
At Airtel Ghana, he successfully led key sales and distribution projects leading to the successful roll out of operations in 2009. Between 2003 and 2008 David managed and executed several sales innovations in both BAT Ghana and GGBL.
He holds a Bachelor of Management Studies Degree from the University Of Cape Coast, a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Leicester and currently pursuing an MBA at the Global Business School, Oxford. David Afugani is happily married with three children. David is inspired most by new challenges and problems that require critical thinking and innovative solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, the CEO of Inesfly Africa, Mr Michael Sjodin, expressed his joy for having David on board and was very optimistic that this appointment will help drive the business to the next level in Ghana and the quest to reach 45 African countries by 2025. “David’s academic background and performance track record in diverse industries in corporate Ghana makes him a great asset to this business’’.
Inesfly was founded in Spain by the renowned scientist and dedicated humanitarian Dr. Pilar Mateo and has been in existence for several decades. The company specializes in the manufacturing of Insecticide paints with an efficacy of 2 years and other Insecticide solutions using a modern technology known as the microencapsulation technology. This proven technology is employed in the manufacturing of all Inesfly products and ensures the gradual and slow release of insecticides leading to a long efficacy period and making it safe for humans and pets.
In 2013, Inesfly Africa was established in Ghana, to manufacture insecticide solutions for vector infestations in Ghana and Africa as a whole using the microencapsulation Technology also known as the Inesfly Technology.
