Sports analyst Nana Agyeman has backed the Ghana Football Association's decision to retain coach Kwesi Appiah despite an awful showing at the World Cup in Brazil.
But there is a small condition attached - if the GFA will invest in upgrading the coaching skills of Ghana's history-making manager. Coach Kwesi Appiah is the first Ghanaian coach to qualify the Black Stars to a World Cup.

The GFA at a press conference on Wednesday reposed confidence in the coach despite failing to make it out of the group stage and challenge for a GFA-target of a semi-final berth.
Kwesi Appiah's tactics has been questioned by fans and his training regime branded mediocre by mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu. The coach was also criticized for losing his grip on the senior team after verbal attacks and several acts of indiscipline gutted the Black Star's campaign.

Mood after mutiny in Black Stars camp
Speaking to Joy News hours after the press conference, Nana Agyeman said the re-affirmation of Kwesi Appiah is "the right move if they [GFA] are going to do the right thing".
He called on the GFA to send the coach to a UEFA licensing course to deepen his understanding of the mordern game.
Coach Kwesi Appiah prior to the World Cup was sent on an internship program with English Premier League giant Manchester City.
