Former President John Agyekum kufuor has been appointed an Ambassador Against Hunger for the World Food Programme, a statement issued by the former president’s office has announced.
He will work for The Hunger Project and will be an Ambassador Against Hunger and Disaster.
Frank Agyekum, press secretary to the former president said “His good works as the president of this country has been acknowledged by the world especially the World Bank, IMF and other foundations are tapping into his rich experience that is why he has been given this all important appointment”.
He added that the former president has displayed a lot of goodwill and exemplary leadership that is why he is getting a lot of job offers across the world.
Kufuor will be based in Ghana and will be travelling to disaster areas and places where his ambassadorial duties are needed.
He will be sworn into office Thursday.
