Italy midfielder Jorginho has joined Brazilian club Flamengo following his departure from Arsenal.
The 33-year-old was going to leave the Gunners when his deal ended on 30 June, but the London club said they had "reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect".
It meant the Brazil-born player could complete a move to Flamengo, who announced his arrival on Friday before they take part in the FIFA Club World Cup, which starts on 14 June in the United States.
Jorginho moved to the Premier League when he joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018, and he won the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup while at Stamford Bridge.
He moved to Arsenal in January 2023 and went on to make 78 appearances.
"Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Jorgi for his contribution to the club, and we wish him and his family all the best for the future," said the Gunners.
