Ghanaian boxer Joseph Agbeko has apologised to Ghanaians after failing to defend the IBF Bantamweight title against Mexican Abner MaresAgbeko failed to reclaim the IBF Bantamweight title he lost to the Mexican last August as a unanimous points decision defeat denied him with 118-110 on the cards of all three judges on Sunday.According to him, he could have done better in last Sunday’s IBF Bantamweight rematch with Abner Mares after losing by a unanimous point decision over 12 rounds.“I’m so sorry things didn’t go the way i wanted, i will plead with Ghanaians to forgive me”. Agbeko told Joy Sports.Joseph Agbeko’s camp is in talks with some strong boxers in the bantamweight division for what could be his last bout in the division before moving up the weights to explore new opportunities.The impressive Anselmo Moreno and WBO Bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire are names that have been mentioned as possible opponents for Agbeko next year.
