Joy News' Ivy Setordjie has been honoured with a Life Time Achievement Award by the Volta Media Excellence Awards (VMEA).
The Volta Media Excellence Awards is a special awards ceremony dedicated to journalists with several years of experience who have shown hard work and dedication in their line of work, and have impacted the region and the country at large.

The ceremony which is geared at awarding media personalities for their hard work was held at the Ho Technical University, JCR Hall.
Dr Prince Kludjeson of the Volta Development Forum who handed over the award to Miss Setordjie and draped her in beautiful kente urged upcoming journalists to emulate her hard work.
He further urged media personalities to be business oriented to aid them become more financially independent.

for journalism noted that the road has not been an easy one for her but has proven worthy taking into consideration her many success stories.
He encouraged her to do more and groom more younger ones in the media fraternity.
Meanwhile, CEO for the Volta Media Excellence Awards, Sedzro K Wonder (EDY Wonder) said there are plans to expand the scheme to have more people on board and make it even bigger.

Ivy Setordjie who was in the company of her two sons and family, was grateful for the honour done her by the Volta Media Excellence Awards.
Ivy Setordjie started her career in 2002 in a local station located in Vui near Keta and has worked in
several radio stations in the Volta Region since then.

She started reporting for JoyNews in 2011 and has won other awards including the 2017 best sanitation reporter.
