Next year will see significant changes in the organization of JoySports’ flagship annual sporting event, the JoySports Invitational Tournament.
Introduced on October 25, 2009, the biggest corporate sporting event in the country is now known as the JoySports Festival and will be a two-day event.
This was announced by the Multimedia Group’s Sales and Marketing Manager, David Max-Fugar, when he presented prizes to winners of the event at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra over the weekend.

The change, aimed at making the program grand and exciting, also seeks to expand participation to as many clients as possible, necessitating an increase in disciplines and other activities.
Mr. Max-Fugar said this edition witnessed overwhelming participation, which has motivated management to transform the event.
He promised that they will ensure it becomes a highly memorable experience and a must-attend sporting event on the corporate Ghana calendar, adding that some partners have encouraged them to continue the event.

Mr. Fugar expressed the view that the JoySports Festival will serve as a platform for talent scouting because if organizations want to excel in the event, they will be compelled to present quality players who will showcase their skills to make it competitive.
He explained that out of over 40 companies that registered to participate in the games, only 29 were accepted due to organizational challenges encountered. “So again, besides the street games, we’re going to introduce some entertainment as part of the package,” he added.
The 2025 edition is going to be filled with entertainment, as we are bringing in some celebrities to compete among themselves to create that festival atmosphere.

Mr Max-Fugar disclosed that there will be a seminar on sports medicine, sports financing, marketing, customer service and sports financing which means this is going to be different from the previous ones.
He added that employers can use the event as a guide for their future recruitment process.
