In a build up to the 2024 general election, Joy FM has compiled some of major promises that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have made from 2012-2024.
The two political parties, since 2012, have been making some commitments to the tourism, arts and culture, on the back on advocacy from the media and other activists in the sector.
This recap of the manifesto promises also serves as a precursor to Joy FM's Manifesto Debate on Creative Economy slated for September 7, 2024.
The programme will air live on Joy FM and Joy Prime on September 14, 2024, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Speaking for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be Sadiq Abdullai Abu (NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi Central Constituency) and Rex Owusu Marfo (Member of NDC Manifesto Committee).
From the camp of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Akwasi Agyeman.
