The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has declared two former students, Ransford Fosu-Boateng (alias Scammer Baby) and Raphael Appiah Owusu, personae non gratae on its campus, citing persistent unlawful conduct and threats to campus security and order.
In an official statement released by the Office of the Registrar, KNUST disclosed that Mr. Fosu-Boateng was dismissed on March 21, 2022, while Mr. Owusu’s dismissal took effect at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.

Despite their removal from the university roll, both individuals reportedly continued to infiltrate university residential halls, engage in disruptive behavior, harass students, and flout disciplinary regulations.
The latest trigger for this action was their alleged involvement in an unlawful assembly that led to vandalism and the destruction of university property — an incident captured on the university's CCTV surveillance system.
KNUST Management emphasized that both individuals are no longer recognized as students and are barred from accessing or loitering anywhere on campus. “They have been declared persona non grata and are to be treated as trespassers should they be found within any part of the University community,” the statement said.
Management has also issued a strong warning to current students to refrain from associating with the two, stating that any student caught aiding, abetting, or facilitating their access to university facilities would face severe disciplinary action.
The statement, signed by Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, Deputy Registrar of the University Relations Office, concluded with a reassurance of the university’s commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and academically conducive environment for all members of the university community
