The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has graduated it first doctoral candidates in Law.
The pioneering cohort includes three PhD graduates whose work tackles systemic barriers in tax administration, insurance consumer protection, and renewable energy governance, signalling a shift toward legal scholarship aligned with Ghana’s development priorities.
Dr. Richard Obeng Mensah adds a third policy dimension to the milestone as his PhD addresses the legal and regulatory gaps inhibiting renewable energy adoption in Ghana.
Dr. Mrs. Delali Adzo Gawu completed her PhD with research confronting decades-old difficulties in understanding and applying Ghana’s income tax law.
Dr. Edmond Nelson Amasah also graduated in the historic cohort with his PhD focused on systemic delays and denials of third-party motor insurance claims in Ghana.
