Patrons of the '6-Strings & Drums' concert slated for December 22, 2023 will not only be served with quality music; one of Ghana's finest MCs, Kofi Okyere Darko aka KOD, will be on stage to complete the experience.
Known for his immeasurable love for music, KOD is expected to take the concert a notch higher with his exquisite compering skills.
The programme which will be held at the Platinum Bay Hotel at Abokobi in Accra aims at celebrating highlife, an indigenous Ghana music genre. As part of the December in GH celebrations, ‘6 Strings & Drums’ seeks to market tourists who will be in the country to the rich genre brewed in Ghana.
Performing at the event are Amakye Dede, Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu, K Bless and Afriyie.
Spicing up the music performances with a drop humour will be one of Ghana’s hottest comedians, OB Amponsah.
Known for his riveting performances, Amakye Dede will perform songs from his repertoire. Patrons will enjoy renditions of songs like Akodaa Wesewa, Iron Boy, Handkerchief, Odo Nti Na Me Su, Ohoho Batani, among others.
The Ready To Perform, 6 String & Drums edition is a biennial event that showcases some of the best Ghanaian music from different eras backed with amazing performances.
