Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA), Kofi Kapito, is urging Ghanaians to support good governance irrespective of political allegiance.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show on Monday, November 10, Mr Kapito said his loyalty is first to Ghana, not to any political party.
“If the nkoko nkitikiti is done well, I will be happy. Anything that John Mahama does to me, I am a Ghanaian before I vote for a party. So if a government comes and the government is doing good for Ghana, I will support him,” he said.
He stressed that he does not subscribe to the mindset of wishing failure on a government simply because it is led by an opposing party.
“I am not one of those who will say let me fold my hands and wish that they don’t do well so that my party will come into power,” he added.
President John Mahama is expected to launch the “Nkoko Nkitinkiti” programme in Kumasi on Wednesday, November 12.
