Junior doctors at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital say they will have no option than to go on strike if they are not accommodated by Friday.
This is as a result of failure by the health service to provide them with the necessary accommodation.
The doctors are ‘squatting’ in the medical students’ hostel but are being ejected from there as well.
Some alternative rooms have been provided for them but they told Joy News’ Nana Yaa Fynn-Thompson not all of them are ready for habitation.
Fynn-Thompson reported that rooms have been provided for 112 doctors, some of which are still under renovation.
Dr. Raymond Owusu Ansah, spokesperson for the aggrieved doctors said if the rooms are not ready by Friday they will be forced to lay down their tools.
The site contractor Roland Akomeah Sam told Joy News he will be able to finish the flats before the Friday deadline.
He said because of the pressure being mounted on them, they will try and finish up.
