Aspiring General Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has paid a courtesy call on the regent of Tolon, Naa Major Rtd. Sulemana as part of his campaign tour of the Northern region.
He lauded the immense contribution of the people of Tolon in Ghana’s body politic especially in the formation of the Danquah – Busia-Dombo Tradition.
Mr. Agyepong acknowledged the struggle and loyalty of the people of Dagbon and how they have stood firm by the NPP at all times.
He promised that when given the mandate, he will put up a special program that will honour the contributions of the unsung patriots of the tradition.
An elated Tolon regent, who welcomed Kwabena Agyepong, admonished the team to be mindful of the task ahead, more especially with the recent revelations during the election petition.
He prayed that the delegates will be touched by God to vote massively for Kwabena come March 1, 2016.
Naa Sulemana called for unity of purpose and praised Kwabena Agyepong for his immense dedication to the tradition, acknowledging the relationship that has existed between the two.
The "Kwabena 4 GS" team later met with party executives at the Tolon, Kumbungu, Savalugu and Nanton constituencies, were Mr. Agyepong urged them to be united for victory as, “the very things that unite us as party far outweigh the issues that divide us”.
He appealed to the National Executive committee of the NPP to reconsider its directive to hold the upcoming national executive elections slated for the 1st of March, simultaneously at regional polling stations across the country.
Kwabena Agyepong promised to drive a strong grassroots organization, capable of detecting any electoral fraud.
