Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has confirmed that Kwadwo Asamoah has picked up a minor injury ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
Asamoah sustained the knock during the Black Stars' training on Wednesday morning at the Ethiopian Youth Academy in Addis Ababa.
However, the gaffer did not rule out the midfielder’s involvement in the must-win clash on Saturday.
“He had a small injury. Just that I don’t want to put a problem for him to make it worse. It is important we treat it and then he trains slowly,” Kwesi Appiah is quoted by FootballmadeinGhana.com.
The 29-year-old last played for the Black Stars against Portugal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
He has made a great start to the season, featuring in all of Inter Milan's three Serie A games.
