Latex Foam, the leading foam and mattress manufacturer in West Africa has won two prestigious awards at the seventh edition of the Ghana Business Awards.
The company was named Brand of the Year and Manufacturing Company of the Year at the event held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
The Ghana Business Awards recognise and reward excellence across all sectors in Ghana. It recognises individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of their business sector while recognising the key functions within the sector that promote growth and sustainability.
The well-attended event was graced by ministers of state, members of the diplomatic corps, the GJA President, and top industry directors.
A high-powered delegation from Latex Foam led by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ms Gifty E. Appiah, was present to receive the awards.
Speaking to the press after the awards ceremony, Ms Appiah commended the hardworking management and staff of Latex Foam for making the feats possible.
“At Latex Foam, our proven first-quality approach to help the final consumer get comfort and better sleep explains this feat,” she said.

“Latex Foam products are the best on the Ghanaian and West African markets. We create customised technology solutions for our mattresses and pillows to address various challenges that face the Ghanaian with sleep and rest.”
She further added that “at Latex Foam, we take environmental sustainability seriously”.
On his part, the GJA President, Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, said journalists in Ghana would continue to disseminate information about the need for the industry to keep climate action as a priority in their corporate practices as the effect of climate change could affect the fortunes of the industry.
Mr Dwumfour added that industries could no longer ignore issues of environmental sustainability as consumers had become more demanding of responsible environmental practices.
He took the opportunity to remind Ghanaians about the forthcoming elections and called for the promotion of peaceful elections.
The Chief Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Robert Patrick Ankobeah, who stood in for the sector ministry, expressed the need for businesses to develop strategies to neutralise the effect of climate change, stressing that there was a strong correlation between tourism and climate effect, i.e. eco-tourism.
He expressed delight in such an event that brought together leaders of the industry for networking opportunities.
