The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Madam Anima Wilson, has made a public plea to leave her out of the politics over the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.
She said she is comfortable with her present appointment and was therefore concentrating on the performance of her assigned duties.
This comes in the wake of the recent appeal by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area to President John Evans Atta Mills to replace the MCE, Mr Mohammed Boakye-Agyemang, with the Deputy Minister.
A press statement signed by Mr Ernest Brogya Genfi, Public Relations Officer at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), said Madam Wilson was not interested in any MCE position now.
Her oversight responsibility for the Municipality, when the substantive MCE became indisposed was over since he is now well and back in office.
Madam Wilson said all agitations for her to be appointed as the MCE, must cease.
It would be recalled that some NDC members led by the Constituency Chairman, Mr Joseph Kofi Acheampong last week went on a street protest to demand the removal from office of Mr Boakye-Agyemang.
They accused him among other things of incompetence and for showing no interest in the activities of the party in the Municipality.
