The final funeral rite for the late poet and playwright Professor Ama Ata Aidoo is underway at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.
The respected writer died at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, after a short illness.
She died aged 81.
In attendance are the family and close friends of the former Education Minister clad in black.
