Some residents of Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern region are demanding the immediate removal of the District Chief Executive for the area, Isaac Agbo Tetteh from office.
They describe him as a tyrant leader who has no respect for the chiefs and elders of the area.
The residents embarked on a massive demonstration Thursday to register their protest. According to them, the MCE has overstayed his tenure in office.
Eastern regional correspondent, Kofi Siaw reported that the residents besieged the Lower Manya Municipal Assembly to present a petition.
They claim the MCE was expected to have left office in May last year but has, with the connivance of the NDC executives, illegally extended his stay.
One of the residents said in two weeks if the MCE is not out of office they will return to the streets.
They charged President John Mahama to grant their request.
