The Multimedia Group’s Luv and Nhyira FM have donated personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand sanitizers to the Kumasi South Hospital to aid Covid-19 fight.
The facility, amid resource constraints, serves as one of the holding centres for Covid-19 patients in the Ashanti Region.
Programmes Director of Nhyira FM, Benjamin Fiifi Ocran, during the donation exercise, said the gesture is to complement government's effort in the fight against the pandemic.
He lauded staff of the hospital for their sacrifices and encouraged them to continue giving off their best.
“As frontline health workers, we know you’re doing a very good job with the fight against covid-19. This fight is for all of us. And this is the little support we’re giving to the hospital to fight covid-19,” he said.
Clinical Care Coordinator, Dr. Angela Frimpong, was grateful to the group for the gesture.
“It’s very difficult to get face masks these days and the prices they’re going for is something else. It’ll deplete the hospital's fund in no time if we were to purchase these ourselves. So we’re happy for your kind donation,” she said.
