Four ambassador designates have been commissioned to take up their new posts in Ghana's missions abroad.
The four are ambassador for the Republic of France, Johanna Odonkor Swaniker, Ambassador for the Republic of Benin, Novisi Aku Abaidoo, Ambassador to the Royal Kingdom of Denmark, Edith Hazel and Ambassador for the Republic of Korea, Elizabeth Nicol.
Bidding them farewell in a ceremony at the flagstaff house, President Mahama tasked them to strengthen Ghana’s bilateral and economic relations and improve on investment in-flows into the country.
With specific reference to the Republic of Korea, the president said Korea has resumed its Exim Bank support to Ghana, and that the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) had received financial assistance to expand its transmission grid and charged the Ambassador designate to continue negotiation for the project.
On behalf of her colleagues, the Ambassador for Korea Edith Hazel pledged they will deliver on their mandate.
