The Joint Transition Team has reached an agreement to address ongoing payments, recruitments, and related activities being undertaken by the outgoing administration.
At its second meeting held on Friday, December 13, 2024, the team resolved that all significant actions of this nature must be submitted for review and approval on a case-by-case basis.
In a statement issued by the Spokesperson of Mahama Transition Team, the directive is intended to ensure transparency, provide clarity on the status of these activities, and establish a fair and amicable process for resolving any associated issues.
The team emphasised the importance of adherence to this guideline, urging all public officials to comply fully and avoid succumbing to undue pressures.
The measure aims to maintain accountability and foster cooperation during the transition period, enabling a smooth and orderly handover between the incoming and the outgoing administrations.
