(A Tribute in Verse)
I walked beside a queen, day and night,
A woman of fire, of truth, of light.
From studio halls to troubled homes,
You turned cold airwaves into sacred thrones.
Mama Effe, voice of the unheard,
You healed a nation with every word.
Not just a host, but hope in skin,
With every broadcast, souls would begin.
Since ’97, our paths aligned,
A sister in purpose, noble and kind.
At Awaremo Nkomo, you held the floor,
But in every heart, you opened the door.
Then came Obra—your destined stage,
Where stories healed and hearts turned the page.
You held our tears, you calmed our fears,
And shaped our lives through all these years.
You taught us grace, you lived out truth,
You sheltered dreams and lifted youth.
Your voice was balm, your heart a flame,
A thousand lives now bless your name.
Oh Mama, I’ve seen your quiet might,
The way you lead without the spotlight.
Still rising up, day after day,
To guide the lost and show the way.
Now 28 years of faithful grace,
Etched forever in Ghana’s space.
Queen Eleanor, still standing tall—
Your legacy lives, and it inspires us all.
Ayekooo, Mama, shine your light,
Continue blazing paths so bright.
We stand with you, both proud and stirred,
Forever moved by every word.
So here’s to more, your journey long,
Your purpose deep, your spirit strong.
And I, your brother, friend, and peer,
Will honour you year after year.
