A Techiman-based Asta FM has been burnt down after it caught fire last night.
No casualty was recorded but properties worth thousands of cedis have been destroyed.
Witnesses say the fire started at 7:30 pm, minutes after the station ended its evening news.
A presenter by name Antwi reportedly saw the fire while working in the studio.
“He announced about the fire and asked listeners to inform the police and fire officers about it,” an eyewitness told Myjoyonline.com.
The fire intensified minutes after the presenter rushed outside, he continued.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established after the Techiman Fire Command concludes with its investigation.
Acting Municipal Fire Commander in Techiman, Dominic Twum Prempeh told Joy News Thursday they have invited all the people who witnessed the incident to provide them with information.
