Counsellor Pastor Daniel Annan says men should not be defined by the male organs they possess or their age, as most people think.
Instead, he said men need to be recognised for their qualities and capabilities to execute their marital responsibilities.
Explaining his statement on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, the counsellor said that every man should have a purpose and something relevant for the woman they intend to marry.
“What defines a man is not the male organ that he possesses, but quite often, we define a man by their age and the male organ that they possess. When a person says he’s a man, ask him what he means. What makes you a man? You must be a leader, you must be responsible, and you must have something you’re doing as a vocation or work. You must be somebody who adds value and knows where you’re going. You have a vision and a dream,” he told the host, Noella Kharyne Yalley.
In addition, Rev. Annan said that men need to make it a priority to be purposeful in their partners’ lives and contribute to their success.
However, he urged women to marry men who are capable of providing them with sexual security and accommodation. This, he said, should be the prime reason a woman should marry.
In the same vein, Rev. Annan cautioned men to marry women with character, nature, and humour rather than focusing on only their physical features.
According to him, it is good for a man to marry a physically attractive woman, but he should be mindful that beauty is bound to fade as she grows.
“I always encourage men to marry beautiful women. When I say beautiful woman, people always look at the physical soul. Marry a beautiful soul first, a beautiful character, and a beautiful soul. Being beautiful is not about being worldly. It’s about knowing yourself and what fits you,” he said.
He also entreated women to marry a man who can support them spiritually in addition to their physical, emotional, and financial security. He believes “there is nothing better than having a praying man.
Meanwhile, the counsellor noted that females should not be quick to reject interested guys who approach them because some of them might not be financially strong at a young age but have great visions and are work in progress.
