The annual Women In Worship has been officially launched after a health walk to create awareness on Cervical Cancer, as part of the "Akatasia Campaign".
The walk which took place on August 10, brought together women and men from all walks of life according to CEO of Genet Services and founder of the event, Mrs Georgina Nettey.
The walk started from the Action Chapel on the Spintex road through the Airport traffic light to the Accra Mall and back to the Action Chapel.
The participants were subsequently taken through some aerobic sessions.
Mrs Nettey revealed that Nigerian musician, Mercy Chinwo, will be headlining the Women In Worship event. She will be supported by 2019 VGMA Gospel Artiste of the Year, Diana Hamilton; Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Cece Twum, Cindy Thompson and many others.
This year's event will be used as a vessel to heal and change Gods people in moments of worship, she added.
Mrs Nettey used the opportunity to encourage women to exercise on regularly to keep them healthy at all time.
Assistant Channel Coordinator for Joy Prime, Gladys Osei Wiredu who said she lost her mother through cervical cancer, used the opportunity to encourage women to take their regular check-ups seriously to avoid complications.
The 2019 edition of Women In Worship will take place at the Dome of the Action Chapel on September 22.
