A 31 year old former student of Wisconsin University has been hired in the first ever live on-air job interview on Joy FM under the You're Hired series.
Michael Adom now heads to Takoradi as the Administrator of a company.
He beat competition from hundreds of applicants who applied for the same job.
He was shortlisted together with two other finalists who appeared on the You're Hired Show on Joy FM for a sizzling, nerve racking live on air job interview on Joy FM.
The You're Hired project which is a G7 Koncepts initiative in partnership with L'aine Services and Joy FM is a programme aimed at demystifying the myth and dark shroud of fear surrounding board room job interviews.
It is also to let millions of prospective job applicants learn some of the basic questions to expect during job interviews and prepare adequately for them.
Michael Adom told Bernard Saibu, sit-in host of the Joy FM Super Morning Show during his 'outdooring' on Joy FM, he is excited and humbled to have won the job.
Asked how he felt after being hired, the new administrator said: " I was humbled. Though it was exciting I was humbled. The competition was tough. I was just optimistic but prepared for whatever will come my way."
"I was really tensed," he said, especially with the towering "presence of Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and the CEO of L'aine Services Mrs Ellen Hagan who were the interview panel on the day.
"But they made us feel at home and assured us it was only going to be a chat," he added.
The next vacancy on You're Hired is a District Coordinator position for a company. Hundreds of applicants have been sent through g7koncepts.net and recruitment@l'aine.com.
Screening and shortlisting has begun towards the live on air interview scheduled for Friday, August 23, 2013.
