The extension of nominations for the Millennium Excellence Awards is to end on Thursday April 15.
The deadline brings to an end the extension period which was necessitated by the addition of five new categories to the awards.
The new categories include industrial leadership, education development, corporate governance leadership, tourism promotion and agricultural development.
According to Ashim Morton, Founder and Chairman of the award scheme, “the additions and extension are necessary considering the high interest and enthusiasm that has characterized the call for nominations.”
He was optimistic that with the addition, the awards ceremony will cover all spheres of human endeavor.
The Millennium Excellence Awards is an international awards event that celebrates outstanding achievements of all citizens of Africa and the world who have sacrificed their lives, toiled tirelessly and served the Continent relentlessly, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of Africa and the world at large.
