The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George (MP), on Thursday, February 19, 2026, received a delegation from the Assemblies of God Church at the Ministry’s headquarters in Accra.
The delegation, led by the Regional Superintendent for Greater Accra East, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, paid a courtesy call to congratulate the Minister on his appointment and to commend him for his exemplary representation of the Christian faith in public service.
Rev. Awintia praised the Minister’s leadership in Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, noting his vision to position the country as a leader in the digital space.

“I want to commend you highly for your leadership and what you have done in a year,” he remarked.
The delegation also briefed the Minister on key activities of the church, including an invitation to what is expected to be its largest international gathering this year (World Congress).

The event, scheduled for October 14–16, 2026, at the Black Star Square, is projected to attract between 8,000 and 10,000 participants from across the world.
In his response, the Minister expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the vital role faith-based organisations play in promoting national values and supporting development efforts.

He offered thanksgiving to God for the life and leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and called for continued intercessory prayers for the government.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to serving the nation with integrity, diligence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
