The President has revealed that his biggest regret this year is the case of the missing four Takoradi girls reported kidnapped and subsequently declared dead by the police.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said although the police have done a commendable job to crack the case, the incident was unfortunate.
“My biggest regret from the beginning of this year is the kidnapping and killing of the four girls in Takoradi. It is a matter of great regret this year, having to deal with the issue of the missing Takoradi girls,” he said in response to a question from a journalist during a press encounter at Jubilee House, Friday.

“Fortunately, I think the police, at the end of the day, were able to do a good job locating and identifying their remains. I saw some controversies with one or two of the families about it, but it is something that I am hoping we can find closure to, as soon as possible. It is a matter of great regret to me,” he stressed.
All four girls were kidnapped in 2018.
Ruth Abakah - July 29, 2018. She was last seen by her family at Diabena Methodist Church. She was 19 years. Priscilla Blessing Bentum -August 17, 2018, captured at Kansawurodo. 21 years. Ruth Love Quayeson- December 4, 2018, captured at Butumagyebu junction. 18 years Priscilla Mantseabea Koranchie - December 21, 2018, captured at Nkroful Junction .15 Years. Three lived at Diabene and one at West Fijai, both suburbs of Sekondi -Takoradi.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that police are yet to furnish the Attorney-General with a docket on new findings on the case involving the four girls.
