Ghana’s largest telecommunications services provider, MTN, has presented the first of six 2016 Range Rover Sports cars and other juicy prizes to May winners of the ongoing MTN@20 mega promotion.
Miss Eugenia Adama, a 28-year-old fashion designer, emerged winner of the 2016 Range Rover Sport. She could not hide her joy when the key to the vehicle was handed to her at a brief but impressive event held at the Achimota Retail Centre.
Prince Borbie, also received the keys to a plush two-bedroom house from Devtraco Court at Tema Community 25, whilst Mustapha Tawfiq, Michael Opam, and Edna Otoo will be enjoying an all-expense paid trip to Dubai with their partners.
Also, winners Pierre Naa Borbor Kweibu, Christopher Mensah and Tim Miles received Gh¢10,000 and GH¢5,000 respectively. Other winners also received high-end 4G LTE-compatible smartphones.
Addressing guests at the prize presentation ceremony, the General Manager for Consumer Marketing at MTN, Mr.Noel Kojo Ganson said, “MTN initiated this promotion as our modest way of saying thank you to our customers for their loyalty to the brand. Through this promo, we hope to reach out to a lot of our customers who are consistent in using our Voice, Data and SMS services.”
The MTN 20th Anniversary Mega Promotion was launched as part of anniversary celebrations to reward thousands of MTN subscribers with exciting prizes.
Prizes that remain to be won until the promotion ends in August 2016 are five brand new 2016 Range Rovers, two bedroom houses and 18 all-expense paid trips to Dubai.
There are also thousands of cash prizes on MTN Mobile Money, high-end 4G LTE handsets and airtime worth over GH¢300,000 to be won. The MTN Mega Promo is open to all Prepaid and some Pay Monthly customers.
MTN customers are not required to subscribe to participate in the promotion. They are eligible to win any of the prizes by exceeding usage targets set for them at the beginning of each month as they make more calls, text and browse to gain points.
Additionally, every recharge of GHC1.00 by a customer is equivalent to 10 points whereas every 0.01 pesewa usage is equivalent to 1 point.
Accordingly, a customer who exceeds assigned target by 100% margin in a competing category of customers will be picked ahead of the one who exceeds by 90% margin.
Customers may check their accrued points and thresholds via the balance check short code *120# (USSD) or send “check” to short code 120 via text message.
Winners of the promotion will be identified and rewarded on a monthly basis for the duration of the promotion. The monthly results of winners are vetted by international audit firm KPMG.
