The Jury for the IFEJ-Flamingo 2015 Awards for Business and Financial Journalism has shortlisted Multimedia journalist, Kofi Adu Domfeh among six financial journalists for various categories of awards.

Domfeh is with the Kumasi Division of the Multimedia Group – Luv Fm and Nhyira Fm.

The other shortlisted are  Moses Mozart Dzawu  of  Bloomberg Ghana Office, Kwasi Adjei Anim  of  Viasat One, Felix Dela Klutse  of Business Day,  Francis Tandoh,   Accra Bureau of the Xinhua News Agency and Adnan A. Mohammed  of  Economic Times.

Chair of the seven-member jury, Daniel Otabil Koomson says in all 23 entries were received and distributed over Seven Award Categories.

The six listed nominees will be vying for the ultimate prize which is sponsored by the World Bank.

In July this year, the Institute of Financial Journalists (IFEJ) launched the Second Edition of the IFEJ-Flamingo Award for Business and Financial Journalism.

The essence of the annual awards is to recognise business and financial journalists and editors who have provided high quality coverage of the business and financial environment Ghana.

This year’s award is on the theme: “Protecting the National Purse”.

The award ceremony will have the German Ambassador to Ghana, Rüdiger John as Guest Speaker, while the Minister for Finance, Seth Terkper will be Guest of Honour.

The event takes place on Friday, December 11th at the World Bank Premises.

Major partners are World Bank, GIZ/SECO, Agricultural Development Bank and Enterprise Life.

The lead sponsors for this year's event are Accra Brewery Ltd and Stanbic Bank.
