The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is set to hold its annual general meeting today December 15 at the MUSIGA headquarters in Accra.
Musicians under its umbrella across the country are expected to attend this all important meeting which MUSIGA says will be used to assess activities of the year and plan for the year ahead.
“It is a gathering of musicians and everybody who calls himself a musician and falls under the musicians umbrella and cares about the music industry should make it a point to be at the Annual General Meeting of the Musician Union of Ghana because there will be a lot of discussions on the music industry and the way forward."
"what has gone on in the year, what we expect to happen next year as well as there will be elections next year,” Youth Organiser of MUSIGA, Bice Osei Kuffuor popularly known as Obour said in an interview with Myjoyonline.com.
The high point of this year’s meeting is an evening musical bash which will take place at the Union's auditorium. Several artistes are expected to perform at the bash.
Obour disclosed that the bash will be an open event for the general public and it is aimed at entertaining and also providing a socialisation platform for fans to meet their favourite artistes.
“It is an open jam at the end of the meeting. It is a party and socialisation where there will be a lot of food, drinks and a lot of music to party to and it is actually open to everybody.
“It is a general musical affair for every musician. There will be live band music on stand-by that everybody will be jamming to. “
Some of the renowned musicians who will be making an appearance at the bash include Amandzeba Nat Brew, AB Crentsil, Tinny, Mzbel, VIP and a host of others.
