MyJoyOnline, the flagship online news platform of The Multimedia Group Limited, has once again cemented its position as Ghana's leading digital news source, having been adjudged the 'Online News Portal of The Year, 2024' at the 36th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).
MyJoyOnline has consistently dominated the category since its introduction, sweeping the awards in the last three years to place the portal ahead of its peers.

Previous wins include the years corresponding to the 2021, 2022, and 2023 performance periods.
The coveted award was presented at a glittering ceremony held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, a gathering of industry leaders, marketing professionals, and distinguished guests.
The win highlights MyJoyOnline’s sustained commitment to innovative, credible, and comprehensive digital journalism throughout the 2024 performance year.
The portal’s success was underpinned by its expansive reach, top-of-mind awareness, and the implementation of cutting-edge content delivery systems that kept pace with the evolving demands of the Ghanaian and global audience.
In their citation, the Governing Council of the CIMG lauded MyJoyOnline for its exceptional performance, noting its dominance in the digital space.
In the performance year under review, MyJoyOnline demonstrated an outstanding mastery of the digital news landscape.
The platform's strategic use of multimedia, including live streaming, interactive features, and other modern tools, ensured it delivered timely and relevant content to its audience in Ghana and beyond, establishing an enviable position as the destination of choice for credible news.
This latest accolade marks a significant milestone for MyJoyOnline and The Multimedia Group (MGL).
The parent company, The Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), swept a total of three awards, including the ultimate ‘Media Organisation of the Year Award, 2024’ at this year's honours.
The Multimedia Group Limited, the foremost private media organisation in Ghana, has a long and decorated history with the CIMG, having been previously crowned the 'Media Organisation of the Year' on multiple occasions, including the 2021, 2022, and 2023 performance years.
The platform’s robust engagement metrics, including a high average session duration and a significant surge in video consumption, were key determinants in the judges’ decision.
Furthermore, the CIMG’s assessors highlighted MyJoyOnline's pioneering role in various national interest campaigns, including its sustained digital push for the 'Joy Clean Ghana Campaign', which was noted for its profound societal impact and contribution to national development—a key criterion in the CIMG's evaluation framework.
The 36th CIMG Annual National Marketing Performance Awards, held under the theme "Marketing in the Age of AI: The Path to Sustainable Economic Growth", recognised individuals and organisations that exhibited excellence in marketing, innovation, social impact, and overall business performance during the 2024 fiscal year.
The triumph by MyJoyOnline reinforces The Multimedia Group’s legacy of excellence and its unmatched leadership in Ghana’s media landscape across radio, television, and digital platforms.
