The first petitioner in the dismissed Presidential Election Petition has called to congratulate President John Mahama on his affirmation as the validly elected president of Ghana.
Nana Akufo-Addo placed the call shortly after verdict was given, Thursday, by the nine justices who heard the eight month long-drawn election petition.
This was confirmed by aide to 2012 NPP flagbearer, Mustapha Hamid in an interview with Joy News.
The NPP flagbearer and two others had pleaded the court to overturn the results of the 2012 elections which was declared in favour of the incumbent, John Mahama.
The court heard arguements from the parties and dispensed justice on Thursday.
As expected the reactions are mixed; supporters of the NDC are in jubilant mood whilst the NPP supporters are in poignant mood.
