With human frailties, free and fair elections can never be 100% fair. With greed corruption, nepotism and tribalism and other vices eating deep into the Ghanaian society, there is certainly a degree of unfairness (even if not measured scientifically).
The Electoral Commission must appreciate this and factor it into its plans for the runoff since this time, even one vote can make a real difference. Party agents must also be extra vigilant since I dread the 3rd coming of Florence (Rawlings sorry my old granny used to say that). I will do anything if I can to prevent Agya Atta from winning and I mean it because I don't like to see people being shaved with bottles again.
And I don't like to hear insults and boom speeches. Of course it maybe(40%) sure Agya Atta may be the President, the Unholy Trinity factor will work and bossy Rawlings will dictate to President-maybe Agya Atta. As former president he has experience and as President-maybe Agya Atta, being new, will have to listen to Rawlings 24 hours a day.
Sidelined 8 good years has made him more venomous than before and if Agya Atta refuses to listen he will trick the bodyguards and give Agya Atta real beatings than that of Arkaah because it will be clear he has made Agya Atta who he may be. If Rawlings could get the former military officers into his residence for dinner to discuss high military issues, he can as well trick Agya Atta into his bedroom.
Real wahala is crouching at his door. Please save this old man and vote for Nana Akufo-Addo. After all NDC will have majority in parliament and there will be checks and balances so the people’s voice can be represented. If you vote for Agya Atta it will be NDC all out but if you vote for Nana Addo the people’s voice will be fairly represented. Previous NDC and NPP governments with majority in parliament have taught us bitter lessons and Ghanaians should be matured enough to avoid that.
Atta Mills winning will not help Ghana no matter what. Please Ghanaians absolute power corrupts no matter who the person maybe particularly in our continent, Africa. You have voted NDC as majority in parliament please for the sake of our young democracy vote Nana Addo for power balance so that you can be fairly represented.
Don't let politicians cheat us again. A vote for Atta Mills is to sell your conscience to NDC, an absolute power of the three arms of government but a vote for Nana Addo will be a power sharing design because the president, if Nana Addo wins cannot bypass parliament which NDC may be controlling.
Please Good People of Ghana hear my message well and vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo come 28th December, 2008. You will never regret if you do that.
God bless Our Motherland Ghana.
Peace, Shalom!!!
