The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has threatened to drag the Daily Guide Newspaper to the National Media Commission for maligning his Party and the flag bearer.
National Organizer of the party Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has been incensed with stories that sought to drag the name of Prof Atta Mills and party in the mud, citing the Friday, 29th edition of the newspaper as an example.
Speaking on Adom Dwaso Nsem on Friday, the NDC organizer said the Front page story of the paper captioned, "NDC Seeks Juju", sought to portray the NDC and his flag bearer as people who engage in vodooism when in actual fact they are staunch Christians.
The story suggested that, the NDC in its quest to regain political power sent the party’s agents chasing spiritualists in neighbouring Burkina Faso and other countries in the Sub Region for "Juju", an African Supernatural charm also known as voodoo in the Caribbean.
But Ofosu Ampofo said the story was not only a fabrication but unjustly, attacked the integrity of the NDC and its flag bearer, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
He therefore called on the news paper to immediately retract and apologise or face the full rigours of the law.
