The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today, Sunday November 30, vet the first batch of aspirants for national executive positions at the party’s headquarters in Kokomlemle.
The positions to be vetted are those of the women and youth organizers together with their deputies.
A total of 31 aspirants are expected to be vetted today.
In all, 115 candidates picked up nomination forms for various portfolios in the party but only 104 were able to complete the nomination process.
Director of Communication for the NDC James Asante tells Joy News the process will give the aspirants the opportunity to justify their inclusion.
The committee will have to ascertain whether the aspirants are of “sound mind”, he said, as well as their validity in terms of membership, people who endorsed them, whether they are competentm among several other fctors.
