Schools and hospitals have been submerged by the flooding, according to Joy News Correspondents.
Some of the communities severely affected include Dohinayile, Jakarayili, Fou, Taha, and Sawaba.
One of the two persons who died in the heavy downpour has been identified as a 59-year-old Hajia Fati Bapuni, said to have been on her way to pick her child from school.
