Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School won the first contest for the Western zone in the preliminary stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Contesting in this round with Archbishop Porter Girls were Ahantaman Girls SHS and Bibiani SHTS.
Archbishop Porter Girls SHS outclassed their opponents, leading the contest by a huge margin.
Nathelin Oteng Asamoah and Mercy Arthur, representatives for the Archbishop Porter Girls SHS were quick to secure 35 points in the second round of the contest.
Meanwhile, Ahantaman Girls SHS in the same round managed to only secure 8 points while Bibiani SHTS had a negative score of -4 points.
At the end of the first contest for the Western zone, Archbishop Porter Girls SHS had an impressive 52 points on the scoreboard.
Ahantaman Girls SHS and Bibiani SHTS followed with 16 and 7 points respectively.
Due to safety protocols ensured to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, supporters of various schools were not allowed at the venue.
However, they participated virtually through the NSMQ Facebook and YouTube channel.
