Mfantsipim School (Botwe) has begun a strong campaign in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after it 'slew' Aggrey Memorial SHS and T. I. AMASS in the preliminary contest.
The Cape Coast school handed its contenders a defeat to remember in the second contest on Friday in the Central region zone.
Some pundits have argued that the school has lost its NSMQ mojo after the 2019 painful loss to St. Augustine's College at the one-eighth stage.
In 2020, the school was again kicked out by Kumasi Academy at the same level, triggering a massive online trolling.
Right from the start, they showed the two competitors from the region that they are Mfantsipim, a name and a title in one.

At the end of the contest, Mfantsipim School had 69 points, Aggrey Memorial SHS, 36 points and T.I. AMASS, Potsin, 23 points.
Ahead of the contest, the 1994 old students of the School hinted at winning this year's grand prize for the third time. According to them, they have not lost their glory, thus will assert their academic dominance this year.
After winning the preliminary contest, the Botwe boys will have another challenge at the one-eighth stage when the seeded schools considered as NSMQ giants, join the championship.
Mfantsipim are through to the one-eighth stage of the contest while the two losing schools would have to wait for the prelims to be over, hopefully, they may be selected to be part of the 15 top runners-up to join the next level.
